Jillian Lauren, an writer and the spouse of longtime Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by police outdoors of the couple’s Los Angeles house on Tuesday whereas authorities had been on the lookout for suspects in a high-speed hit-and-run chase. Police say that when Lauren emerged from the home, she was holding a gun and didn’t comply with their orders to drop the weapon; she reportedly fired one shot earlier than police shot her within the shoulder. Upon surrendering to the cops, Lauren was arrested on suspicion of tried homicide and transported to a hospital for the non-life-threatening accidents. She’s since been launched on $1 million bond.
