The Metropolis of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra have paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, whose dying was introduced yesterday.
The orchestra carried out the epic, self-titled opener from Black Sabbath‘s debut album, as orchestrated by Christopher Austin for the Birmingham Royal Ballet manufacturing of Black Sabbath – The Ballet. The tribute passed off on the metropolis’s New Road Station, beneath Ozzy the Bull, the large mechanical beast constructed for the 2022 Commonwealth Video games and now on everlasting show on the station.
“We had been all vastly saddened to listen to of the passing of Ozzy Osbourne final night time,” say the Orchestra’s social media group. “Our ideas exit to his household, family members, buddies and followers. Ozzy was a one-off, and his music legacy will reside within the hearts of the folks of Birmingham without end.
“This afternoon, we had been honoured to carry out a Black Sabbath music in tribute to Ozzy at our New Road station efficiency. Musicians to musician, that is our method of paying our respects to one in every of Birmingham’s all-time greats.”
