Spandau Ballet announce the discharge of their definitive early years assortment, Every part Is Now – Vol.1: 1978-1982.
The great nine-disc boxset options their first two albums alongside a wealth of beforehand unavailable materials. It features a 44-page ebook with authentic pictures from fellow Blitz Child Graham Smith and new commentary from the entire band.
Launched on 12 September through Parlophone, this meticulously curated assortment captures the band’s origins and meteoric rise from Blitz Membership favourites to chart-topping innovators. The set contains their seminal albums Journeys To Glory (1981) and Diamond (1982) on vinyl, plus six CDs of singles, remixes, BBC periods, demos, and a Blu-ray of Dolby Atmos mixes, movies and uncommon dwell footage.
Launched right this moment is the Steven Wilson Stereo Mixture of The Freeze, the band’s second single after the hit of To Reduce A Lengthy Story Brief. Each tracks mirrored the European digital music that the band heard at The Blitz, making full use of the Yamaha CS-10 synthesizer that they had acquired on rent buy.

Journeys To Glory
Of the title, songwriter Gary Kemp says, “I used to be having a dialog with Spandau’s supervisor and lifelong pal Steve Dagger. We had been speaking about my youngsters who’re always listening to and streaming outdated music, making discoveries like Steely Dan or The Zombies. On TikTok and social media outdated tracks are getting reinvented. Our streaming goes up and up for folks of all ages. That includes all of the band’s early classics together with To Reduce A Lengthy Story Brief, Chant No. 1, Muscle Sure, Paint Me Down, Instinction and She Cherished Like Diamond, the boxset presents a number of variations of tracks that hint their growth from preliminary demos to prolonged 12″ membership mixes.
The Blu-ray part contains Dolby Atmos and stereo remixes by acclaimed producer Steven Wilson, alongside authentic music movies, BBC TV appearances and the entire 56-minute live performance from New York’s Underground Membership in 1981.

This launch coincides with London’s Design Museum, who open their exhibition ‘Blitz: The Membership That Formed The 80s’ from 20 September.
“The Blitz was an actual sweatbox once we carried out there,” remembers Tony Hadley, “however we simply had this sense that issues had been altering. As a teen you need to create a stir. And we did.”
