You’re positively getting your cash’s value with this monitor premiere from Canadian atmospheric black steel trio, A Flock Named Homicide. They’re providing up the 17-plus-minute “To Drown in Obsidian Tides” from their upcoming second second full-length, Incendiary Sanctum. The epic monitor finds the band—Mike Wandy (bass/vocals), Cam Mueller (drums), Ryan Mueller (guitar/vocals)—touring an expansive, sludgy, doom-laden path full with melodic, moody guitar work, raw-throated vocals and a full-on black steel assault at its crescendo. It’s virtually a mini-album by itself.

“To Drown in Obsidian Tides” is considered one of 4 (lengthy) tracks on Incendiary Sanctum, which shall be issued on vinyl, CD and digitally through Hypaethral Information on Could 2. Place your preorder right here.

Right here’s what Cam needed to say concerning the new monitor (kind of):

“We turned burnt choices. The dunes at our ft are ash and the flood to take us is Stygian. Nothing is forgiven on this place and time itself is unravelling. Sorrow is aware of no finish. There was no rapture. The trustworthy and untrue collectively beget this carnage. Some, very similar to you. Wrath alone, it appears, has saved us aloft. For the way lengthy? Why gained’t these desolate waters take us? If there’s hope to be discovered right here, it’s a ugly hope. As devastating because the fires inside and with out, that led us right here. A clarion name to dissolution.”
