Lowheaven have dropped crushing single ‘Mercy Loss of life’, taken from the band’s upcoming debut album.
With ‘Ritual Decay’ set to reach on August 29, the band are settling into their new label residence at MNRK Heavy.
Produced by Brett Romnes (Boston Manor, Scorching Mulligan), the newest lower from the Toronto post-metal outfit encapsulates sheer dread.
Talking on ‘Mercy Loss of life’, vocalist/guitarist Dan Thomson shares:
“This music feels just like the soundtrack to my nightmares. It was one of many songs within the batch the place I noticed simply how heavy this band was going to be. On the writing of ‘Mercy Loss of life’, guitarist/keyboardist Alex Pley says:
“The unique working title for this music was ‘Godzilla, and it earned it. Scripting this music with Dan and Mikey [Buchta] within the early days of the band was when it began to actually sink in how heavy we had been going to get. One of many ‘themes’ that I actually tried to stay with when writing for this band was a type of ‘finish of the world’ really feel; terrifying and highly effective. The tip of this music is a fucking monster, and taking part in this music dwell goes to break some individuals’s lives in the event that they aren’t prepared. Chaos king nonetheless reigns”
