In 2023, Fust launched their album Genevieve, which featured North Carolina indie favorites like Indigo De Souza, MJ Lenderman, and extra. At present, the mission of Aaron Dowdy is asserting its new LP Large Ugly. The lead single and opening observe “Spangled” is out now.

The file was produced by Alex Farrar, and it has contributions from Merce Lemon, the Struggle On Medication’ Dave Hartley, and the Deslondes’ John James Tourville.
“Spangled” is a vivid portrait of American alienation, filled with booze, spiritual turmoil, and a way of doom. A very nice line: “I’m feeling like a sparkler/ That’s been thrown off a roof.” Watch the music video for it under, directed by John Winn.
