German quartet Angel of Damnation have been a going concern since 2004, wherein time they’ve launched a pair full-lengths, an EP and a single, and appeared on some cut up information. That’s to say, not a ton of labor executed in 21 years. However one glimpse on the members’—Avenger (guitars/bass/keyboards), Doomcult Messiah (vocals), Forcas (bass), Neudi (drums)—CVs on Metallic Archives and you may see why. They’ve all been in (or are at present in) quite a few different bands, notably drummer Andreas “Nuedi” Neuderth! Nonetheless, they’ve assembled right here for the third Angel of Damnation full-length, Ethereal Blasphemy, which is a seven-track manifesto of creepy, proto-doom occult rock. Ethereal Blasphemy was recorded and produced in Avenger’s personal cellar, generally known as the Someplace in Nowhere Studio. Mixing and mastering was on the Journey Into Eternity Studios. The band had this to say about its third full-length:
“One other seven years have handed since we launched our final album—not that this recurring cycle was ever deliberate in any approach. We merely got down to write and report songs we might love to listen to ourselves. In spite of everything, doom steel—and steel normally—is timeless.
