Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal is again together with his first new instrumental file in 30 years aptly named Bumblefoot …Returns!, due out January 24. The primary single “Simon In House” is now streaming above in all its insane glory, and that includes a video created by Bumblefoot and animator Radek Grabinski.
“From an early age, my passions have been guitar and astrophysics, cosmology – the music ‘Simon in House’ merges the 2,” wrote Bumblefoot. “Simon is my cat haha, that is him featured within the paintings.”

On the file, Bumblefoot supplied: “It has been 30 years since releasing the debut Adventures of Bumblefoot on Shrapnel Information, and I have not completed a completely instrumental album since. Writing throughout the pandemic, these songs grew to become a soundtrack to my life – from heavy fretless growls to bluesy tributes to legends like Lonnie Johnson. It is a reflection of the moments that formed me.”
