BENT SEA started its offensive in 2011 by crash-landing the “Noistalgia” EP, an explosive homage to the beginnings of grindcore. Led by drummer/guitarist/songwriter Dirk Verbeuren with cohorts Sven de Caluwé (ABORTED) on vocals and Shane Embury (NAPALM DEATH) on bass — changing Devin Townsend, who guested on “Noistalgia” — BENT SEA churned out three extra break up releases and the guest-studded “Instagrind” collection earlier than all of a sudden falling silent.

In a 2016 interview with All About The Rock, Dirk acknowledged about BENT SEA: “BENT SEA is a spur-of-the-moment kind factor with none marketing strategy. The concept from the get-go was principally ‘no strain’ and I intend to maintain it that manner.”
Again in 2012, Dirk instructed PureGrainAudio about BENT SEA‘s formation: “It simply form of occurred. I used to play guitar, however lately my focus was solely on drums.
