Cumulus first introduced in Aaron Visitor (Polecat, Jenner Fox Band) on piano and guitar to assist flesh out the preparations of the brand new tunes, ultimately including bassist John Van Deusen (Lonely Forest) and drummer Aaron Ball (Dryland). Monitoring for the album took all of six days, most of it on the Unknown, a recording studio housed in a former Catholic church in Anacortes, Wash.
“Welcome Again To Me” is a first-rate instance of the album’s natural evolution. “The tune was tracked reside with all of us in a circle on the ground of the church,” says Lockhart. “After I first introduced the tune to William and Aaron, Aaron added a wonderful fingerpicking melody beneath that helped construct on my thought of it placing the listener right into a trance—nearly like a repeating mantra. I wished the tune to be like a lullaby for adults, and we nailed the vibe with two guitars and bass.”
We’re proud to premiere Cumulus’ “Welcome Again To Me.”
